NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING OF GAGE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS COMMITTEE MEETINGS MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2024, 7:00 A.M. & BOARD OF EQUALIZATION & BOARD OF SUPERVISORS REGULAR MEETING WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2024, 8:30 A.M.
Notice is hereby given that the Gage County Board of Supervisors will meet Monday morning, September 16, 2024, in the Gage County Courthouse Board of Supervisors Room at 7:00 a.m. for board committee meetings. This meeting is open to the public.
Notice is hereby given that the Gage County Board of Equalization and the Board of Supervisors will meet Wednesday morning, September 18, 2024, in the Gage County Courthouse Board of Supervisors Room at 8:30 a.m. The agenda for the meeting is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s office during normal business hours (8-5). The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the board. The Board of Supervisors has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting.

NOTICE OF JOINT PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX INCREASES
Public notice is hereby given, in compliance with the provisions of Neb. Rev. Stat. § 77-1633, that a representative of the following political subdivisions will meet on the 19th day of September, 2024 at 6:15 p.m., at Gage County Courthouse – District Court Room, 3rd floor, 612 Grant Street, Beatrice, NE for the purpose of conducting a joint public hearing to obtain public input on property tax increases proposed by the subdivisions:
- Southern School, School District #1, 402-645-3326, property tax requested: $4,965,077.00.
- Tri County Public Schools, District #300, 402-683-2015, property tax requested: $7,400,244.00
The public hearing will be held on September 19, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 56885 PWF Rd., Fairbury, NE 68352.
Said meeting is open to the public. Accommodations for the disabled are available upon request. Please contact the Gage County Clerk at 402-223-1300 #4 at least 48 hours prior to the meeting if accommodations are required or for Jefferson County, please contact Jefferson County Clerk at 402-729-6818.
There is no item on the agenda for this joint public meeting other than discussion of each political subdivision’s intent to increase its property tax request by a percentage greater than the “allowable growth percentage” defined in § 77-1633. The political subdivisions shall make their presentations in the order listed above.

Notice is hereby given that Gage County Planning and Zoning will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, September 24 at 7:15 PM at the Gage County Courthouse, in the Supervisors Room, Beatrice NE. Said public hearing is to hear support and/or opposition from the public on Special Use Permit 2024-5 for the placement of a telecommunications tower to be located on a tract of land on a portion of the South ½ of the Southwest quarter in Section 19–4–8 of Filley Township in Gage County, Nebraska.
