When are taxes due and delinquent?

  • Taxes for both Real Estate and Personal Property are due – Dec. 31st
  • 1st half is delinquent the following – May 1st
  • 2nd half is delinquent the following – September 1st
  • 14% statutory rate is charged on delinquencies

When are tax notices mailed?

They are mailed in December

What should I do if I didn’t receive a tax notice?

Do you accept credit cards?

YES – Motor vehicle and driver license may be paid online at https://dmv.nebraska.gov/.  Real estate taxes may be paid online at https://nto.us.  You may also use a credit card in the Treasurer’s office.  There is a 2.49% convenience fee to use a credit or debit card and a $1.75 fee to use an e-check.

When can I renew my driver’s license?

You may renew your expiring Nebraska license within 90 days (not three months) prior to the expiration date.  If you move to a new address, you should update your Nebraska license within 60 days.  To view new procedures in the renewal and address change process, go to https://dmv.nebraska.gov/ and check under “Driver Licensing Services”.

What if I lost my driver’s license?

If you have not moved to a new address, you may apply for a duplicate license online at https://dmv.nebraska.gov/.  There is a convenience fee to use a credit or debit card.  You may also go to a licensed examiner to apply for a duplicate.  Go to https://dmv.nebraska.gov/ for driver license procedures.
